Availability. The generator is not yet live on lexsalim.com. United Kingdom support is in development; United States and Canada are planned.
Payroll information is sensitive personal and financial data. This article sets out how LexSalim treats it today and what the application team must confirm before the Free Payroll & Payslip Generator accepts real data.
What lexsalim.com never collects
The marketing website, including its contact form and the Lana help assistant, does not ask for and must not be sent:
- National Insurance numbers, Social Security numbers or Social Insurance numbers;
- bank-account details;
- real employee salary records;
- payroll files or exports.
If you send any of these through the enquiry form, they will be deleted and you will be asked to use a secure channel instead.
Where payroll processing will happen
Actual payslip generation, calculations and PDF creation will run inside the approved LexSalim application or in a separately secured generator service, not on the marketing pages. Any input the generator needs will be the minimum required to produce the payslip; identifiers such as a tax code are needed for a correct calculation, but a National Insurance, Social Security or Social Insurance number is not needed to produce a payslip and will not be requested.
What must be confirmed before real data is accepted
The application team is responsible for validating, before launch:
- input and document security, including how entered figures and generated PDFs are protected;
- data minimisation, so that nothing unnecessary is collected;
- retention and deletion, including whether a guest-generated payslip is kept at all and for how long;
- the accuracy of each country's calculation rule pack;
- confidentiality between users and organisations;
- the security of PDF generation;
- the privacy requirements that apply in the UK, the US and Canada.
Until these are confirmed, the generator is not available and this help centre will not describe retention periods it cannot stand behind.
Lana and payroll data
Lana, the help assistant on this website, answers only from published help articles. It has no access to the application, to any payslip, or to anything you enter into the generator, and it never will under the current design. Do not paste payroll figures into Lana; ask a general question instead, or contact the team.
Your rights
The privacy notice (currently a draft awaiting legal review) describes the controller, the lawful bases and your rights. The generator's own privacy terms will be published before it accepts real data.
