The LexSalim application is opening in stages and is not yet available for public sign-in. This article describes how the workspace is designed to work for early-access members; wording and screens may change before general release.
Every case, legal or accounting, carries a status so that a team can see at a glance where each matter stands. The Case Agent can propose tasks and deadlines, but only a member of the case changes its status.
The statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Created, being set up. Documents can be uploaded and the agent can be used, but the case is not yet counted as in progress. |
| Active | Being worked on. This is the normal state for an open matter. |
| Awaiting information | Waiting on a document, a reply or a decision from someone outside the case. |
| Under review | Material is being checked, typically findings and drafts waiting in the review queue. |
| Action required | Something has a deadline or needs a decision now. |
| Resolved (legal) / Completed (accounting) | The matter has concluded. |
| Archived | Closed and kept for reference. Documents remain in the vault, and the case no longer counts towards your active-case allowance. |
Active cases and your plan
Each plan includes an allowance of active cases. Draft and Active cases (and the intermediate working statuses) count; Archived cases do not. If you reach your allowance, archive a concluded case or move to a plan with a larger allowance. See Plans and UK prices.
Changing status
Open the case and choose the new status from the case header. The change is recorded on the timeline with who made it and when. There are no automatic transitions.
Timeline and deadlines
The timeline is the chronological record of the case: events found in documents, correspondence, uploads, agent actions, approvals and status changes. Deadlines the agent extracts from documents appear as proposals until a member confirms them; confirmed deadlines produce reminders.
Archiving and export
Archive a case when it is finished. You can export a case's documents and timeline before deletion in line with the retention schedule described in the privacy notice. Deleting a case is permanent and asks for confirmation.
