What Case Agents never do

A Case Agent does not advise, represent, send, file or decide. It does not see other cases, and it does not learn from your documents to help anyone else.

Early access

The LexSalim application is opening in stages and is not yet available for public sign-in. This article describes how the workspace is designed to work for early-access members; wording and screens may change before general release.

Knowing what the agent will not do is as important as knowing what it does.

It does not give advice

The agent summarises, extracts, drafts and answers from your documents. It does not tell you what you should do, whether you will win, or what a court or tax authority will decide. LexSalim is not a law firm or an accountancy practice and does not provide regulated professional advice. Where a decision has legal or financial consequences, involve a qualified professional.

It does not act for you

  • It does not send correspondence, emails or messages to anyone.
  • It does not file documents with a court, a registry or a tax authority.
  • It does not make payments or change your subscription.
  • It does not change the case status, confirm findings or set deadlines. People do that.

It does not run on its own

Analysis happens when a member of the case asks for it, and the run is recorded. The agent does not watch for new uploads or act on a schedule; scheduled checks are a planned capability, disabled by policy until validated.

It does not see other cases

Each agent has access to one case. There is no shared memory and no cross-case reasoning. An administrator's agent is no different from anyone else's.

It does not learn from your documents

Case content is sent to AI model providers only to produce the output you asked for, under contracts that prohibit using it to train models and that limit retention. Your documents do not improve anyone else's results, including other LexSalim customers.

It does not invent sources

If a statement cannot be supported from the documents in the case, the agent says so and the item is marked needs source check. When legal research is released, it will draw on approved sources with citations; until then the agent has no library of law to quote and should not be treated as a statement of the law.

If it gets something wrong

Reject the finding in the review queue and, if the error looks systematic, report it. Reports are used to improve evaluations and policies.
