What the AI can and cannot see

The Case Agent sees only the case it belongs to, and only when you ask. Lana, the website assistant, sees only published help articles. Nothing is used to train models.

Updated 13 October 2026

There are two assistants connected with LexSalim, and they see very different things.

The Case Agent (inside the application)

Can see Cannot see
Documents, timeline and description of its own case Any other case, including other cases in the same organisation
Findings and drafts in that case Your account settings, billing or sign-in data
What you ask it, within the case Administrator data or other customers' data
  • It reads documents only when you ask. There is no background analysis.
  • Each run is recorded on the case timeline with the documents used.
  • Content sent to AI model providers is covered by contracts that prohibit training on it and limit retention.
  • Your documents never improve results for anyone else.

Lana (on the public website)

Lana is the help assistant in the corner of lexsalim.com. It answers questions about LexSalim from published help articles only. It has no connection to the application and cannot see accounts, cases, documents, payments or administrator data. See Lana, the help assistant, and your privacy.

Things no AI in LexSalim does

  • Make decisions with legal effect about you.
  • Send messages, file documents or make payments.
  • Give legal, tax or accounting advice.
  • Remember one customer's matter when helping another.

Your responsibilities

Customer content may include personal data about other people. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload it, and for reviewing AI output before relying on it or sharing it. The privacy notice (draft) linked in the footer sets out roles and responsibilities and will be finalised before paid plans open.
