Last updated 2026-10-13 · Effective from not yet in force

Draft policy forming part of the Terms. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer and not in force.

01Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses the LexSalim website or Service, including every member of a customer organisation. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Organisation owners and administrators are responsible for ensuring their members comply.

02Lawful and authorised use

You must use the Service only for lawful purposes and only with content you are entitled to use. You must not upload material that you hold under a confidentiality, privilege or court-ordered restriction that prohibits processing by a third-party service, unless you have the necessary permission. You remain responsible for complying with professional-conduct rules that apply to you, including client-confidentiality and supervision duties. Review: confirm wording on legal privilege and client-confidentiality for regulated users

03Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • attempt to access, probe or interfere with another customer’s organisation, cases or data;
  • upload malware, or files designed to exploit the Service or its sub-processors;
  • circumvent, disable or test security controls, rate limits or usage limits, or share accounts to avoid plan allowances;
  • use automated tools to scrape, crawl or bulk-export content from the Service or from sources it references, or exceed the licence terms of any source;
  • submit prompts designed to make the AI produce unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful content, or to extract system instructions or other customers’ data;
  • use the Service to harass, defraud or deceive anyone, or to create false evidence or forged documents;
  • present AI output as professional advice to third parties without review and appropriate disclosure, or hold yourself out as a lawyer or accountant when you are not;
  • use the Service to provide a competing service, or to benchmark it for publication without our agreement;
  • resell or sublicense access without an agreement with us.

04Content standards

Customer Content must not infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights, and must not contain material that is unlawful to possess or share in the United Kingdom or in your jurisdiction. Where a legal or financial matter requires sensitive material (for example evidence in a dispute), you may place it in a case for the purpose of that matter, provided you have the right to do so.

05Security research

We welcome responsible disclosure of vulnerabilities to [email protected]. Do not test against other customers’ data, do not degrade the Service, and give us reasonable time to fix an issue before disclosing it. Testing within those limits is not a breach of this policy. Review: decide whether a formal disclosure policy or safe-harbour statement is published

06Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend or restrict accounts, or terminate access for breaches of this policy, with notice where reasonable. We may also report unlawful activity to authorities. Repeated or serious breaches are grounds for termination without refund, subject to applicable consumer law.

07Reporting misuse

To report misuse of the Service, email [email protected] with the details.
