Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated 2026-10-13 · Effective from not yet in force
Draft policy. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer and not in force. It must be approved before paid checkout opens.
01Scope
This policy explains how subscriptions to LexSalim can be cancelled and when refunds are given. It forms part of the Terms of Service and should be read with the Subscription and Billing Terms. Paid checkout is not yet open; this policy takes effect when it does.
02Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are monthly. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your workspace or by emailing [email protected] from the account email address. Cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period; the subscription then ends and the workspace moves to read-only for the export period in the Terms.
03Refunds
Fees already paid for the current monthly period are not refunded on cancellation, and we do not give pro-rata refunds for unused days, except where this policy or the law requires it. If we terminate your subscription for reasons other than your breach, or withdraw the Service, we refund the unused part of the current period. If a material fault prevents use of the Service for a significant part of a period and we cannot fix it, contact us and we will consider a credit or refund. Review: confirm the no pro-rata rule for business customers and the fault remedy
04Consumers: 14-day cooling-off
If you buy as a consumer in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from the start of the subscription to cancel and receive a refund. Because the Service starts immediately, we ask for your express consent at checkout to begin during the cancellation period and your acknowledgement that, if you cancel within 14 days, you pay for the part of the period you have used. Review: confirm the consent wording at checkout, and equivalent rules for EU, US state and Canadian provincial consumers
05Business customers
Cooling-off rights do not apply to purchases made in the course of a business. Business customers’ rights are as set out in the Terms, this policy and the Billing Terms. Enterprise customers’ cancellation and refund terms are set out in their contract and take precedence over this policy.
06Failed payments and grace period
If a renewal payment fails we notify you and retry. The workspace stays fully available for a grace period of 7 days from the failed payment. If payment is not made by the end of the grace period the workspace becomes read-only until payment is received; after 30 days we may cancel the subscription. Your content is kept for the export period in the Terms. Review: confirm the 7-day grace period and 30-day cancellation point
07Changing plan
Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro-rata for the remainder of the period, as shown at the time of the change. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; no refund is given for the difference in the current period. Allowances of the new plan apply from the time it takes effect.
08Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a billing problem, contact us first at [email protected] and we will respond promptly. Raising a card dispute without contacting us may lead to suspension while the dispute is investigated.
